 The 21st century is so filled with individuals who don't proritise eating healthy food and diets for their body metabolism but instead choose to feed on low quality food seeing it as an easiest and reliable source of growth to the body whereas they are destroying the body functioning. 

This post is to enlighten us on the dangers of eating poor quality diet.


WHAT IS HIGHLY PROCESSED FOOD?

- Highly processed food are food that been changed from their natural form to processed form making it lose its value and nutritive quality needed by the body.

- They include food that has high quantity of processed sugar, flavors, and coloring and lot more e.g Junks, carbonated drinks and so on.

-  They are food that contain very low nutrient and some of the processes food product tend to lack vitamins, proteins, calcium, carbohydrates but are filled fat ( trans-fat ) that are harmful to the body.

How does highly processed food affect the body?


1.Organ malfunctioning:

 It reduces the life span of the various organ of the body because they contain some element such as nitrite, sulphite and so on which are dangerous to the functioning of the body system.

2. They weaken the brain activities:

This happen because the brain will lack healthy nutrient required for its functioning. The brain is said to contain about 80% glucose and other element. Insufficient supply of the necessary nutrient could lead to brain sickness or diseases such as brain tumor, migraine etc.

3. Skin/Melanin degradation:

High intake of highly processed food affect the skin so much that it tends to reduce its melanin beauty in replacement with chemicals that affect the skin beauty. That is why it is recommended that to have a fresh skin, intake of fruits and vegetables is very important as it helps in maintenance of the skin.

4.Obesity:

Research has it that 80% of processed food contain 80-90% of calories which after the body takes what it want, the rest are stored in the different body and organ as Adipose tissue which when it excess bring about OBESITY.

Obesity is very dangerous to the body system as it;

- Increases heartbeat

- Causes body weakness

- brings about high blood pressure

- causes heart diseases and strokes

5. Fatigue and body weakness


Therefore, highly processed food causes more harm to the body than any good you can think of. It is therefore needed that we go on taking natural food product and diet not in excess but as it is required for the body metabolism.
